InterPoker is run by the same group of people who run InterCasino, one of the larger and more respected online casinos to be found. Because of this relationship you have a lot of poker players who have come from the casino and have less experience in playing poker than the players found in most poker rooms, so if one of your goals is to sharpen your poker skills the quality of opposition might leave a little to be desired.
InterPoker has a software package that has a good look to it and it plays well, this has resulted in a relatively small but acceptable player base for the site. Ring games of Texas Hold'em are more that acceptable for play with six and ten player tables being offered in table limit, pot limit, and no limit varieties. Alas the tournament action is somewhat lacking, as only 10 player tables are available and because of the smaller player base you may have to wait awhile for a table to fill up. Players wishing to play at multi-table tournaments will have a similar problem; there is no variety and a small player base.
InterPoker would not be at the top of a list of outstanding poker rooms but it does have some things to recommend it for consideration. It offers a table browser that shows players detailed information on such things as; the average pot size, how many hands were played in an hour, and the average of the number of players who see the flop. Another bonus offered is a bad beat jackpot, it starts out at $2,500 and $250 is added each day that it is not hit.
