Poker Stars has its good points; players can choose among 6 and 10 seat tables, tournament play at 2,4,6,8, and 18 seat tables, useful statistics are available during the game, players can use their own custom pictures as avatars, and there are some special features only available at Poker Stars (such as player to player transfers). Poker tournaments are as good as advertised, but they aren't really better than what is being offered at other poker rooms.

Poker Stars also has some bad points; the software is a little rough in the presentation side of things with the graphics not looking all that good and the animations being a little 'choppy', also the sound effects could use some work. Compared to other poker rooms the game plays a little slow, also the table maximums are a little low at the top end (most players will be O.K. with the available limits, but higher limits are available elsewhere).

Overall playing at Poker Stars is O.K. but the poker room is not the best available and should be avoided by new poker players.
